North Imenti MP Rahim Dawood on Saturday was slapped by Beatrice Karwitha who is aspiring for North Imenti MP on a Jubilee ticket
Karwitha slapped Dawood when he was leaving the Gitoro Conference where Catholic Women Association had convened
Karwitha accused Dawood of denying her the microphone during the function
“I was given a chance to invite other leaders to speak. I was asked to only invite elected leaders and not aspirants,” Dawood said.
“Had it been the other way round it would have been such a big issue because men are accused of violating women’s rights,” he said.
The event was graced by Ida Odinga, wife to Azimio LA Umoja Presidential Candidate Raila Odinga
At the event, Mama Ida was also heckled at the event by some hostile crowd despite being an invited guest in the Catholic Women Association prayer day event held on Saturday.
