Former Kenya Film and Classification CEO Ezekiel Mutua has been named as the new CEO of the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK)
In a statement to our newsroom, MCSK Board Chair Lazarus Muli said that Mutua was appointed after emerging as the best candidate
“Dr. Mutua’s appointment follows rigorous competitive interviews in which he emerged top among the candidates who were interviewed for the position,” said Muli.
During his tenure as the KFCB boss, he was known to be a no-nonsense man, he clashed with various artists hence being nicknamed the ‘Moral Corp’
Mutua holds a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Moi University, a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor’s in Sociology and Linguistics from Kenyatta University.
The Board said that they have faith in Mutua’s leadership “his passion for excellence, as attested by his exemplary performance in the previous positions he has held, which will help us to steer the MCSK to the next level.”
