Homa Bay county Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has been endorsed by Kochia elders in her bid to succeed Governor Cyprian Awiti.
The event that was held in Kochia, Rangwe Constituency was attended by the clergy, council of elders, Kochia professionals, women, youth and opinion leaders
“I am deeply humbled by the great honor that has been bestowed upon me by my Kochia people while officially releasing me to go forth and seek the position of Governorship for Homabay County. In an elaborate ceremony graced by the Kochia clergy, council of elders, Kochia professionals, Kochia women, youth and opinion leaders of all shades, I now have the unequivocal blessings of my people.” She posted on her social media.
“I promise not to let the great people of Homa Bay down “, She continued.
The two time Woman county representative will be battling it out with a host leaders that have shown interest in Homa Bay including former Nairobi County governor Evans Kidero who declared his bid.
