The People’s Loyal Opposition has issued a powerful condemnation of the Kenya Kwanza administration, accusing it of state-sponsored terrorism and a deliberate failure to implement the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report.
The opposition detailed a disturbing incident on November 28 in Bibironi village, Limuru Constituency, where mourners at a funeral were violently attacked by alleged regime-sponsored thugs.
Former Limuru MP Peter Mwathi and area MCA Christopher Ireri were abducted during the chaos, later found abandoned far from the scene.
While the National Police Service and Directorate of Criminal Investigations denied involvement, the opposition called their claims baseless, branding the events as a blatant attack on democracy.
“An attack on one Kenyan is an attack on all of us,” declared the opposition leader, urging citizens to resist the regime’s oppressive tactics.
The opposition also highlighted the government’s failure to honor critical commitments under the NADCO agreement, including electoral reforms, constitutional deadlines for boundary delimitation, and cost-of-living measures.
They warned of an impending constitutional crisis and accused the government of undermining Kenya’s electoral integrity.
Drawing parallels to recent public resistance against secretive Adani Group deals, the opposition emphasized the power of collective voices, stating, “The people’s voices cannot be silenced.” They praised Kenya’s youth, particularly Generation Z, for their bravery in confronting state-sponsored violence, promising unwavering support.
The opposition leader concluded with a firm call to action, urging all Kenyans to stand united against oppression.
“We will not allow the balkanization of our nation, election rigging, or the erosion of democracy. The next Maandamanos will resolve Kenya’s problems once and for all,” they warned.
As Kenya faces escalating political tensions and economic challenges, the opposition pledged to continue fighting for justice and accountability, declaring the regime’s disregard for the people’s will unacceptable.
The statement serves as both a rallying cry and a stark warning to a government accused of betraying its democratic mandate.
