Manchester City earns three points against Wolves

Manchester City edged out Wolves in a spirited match to earn the much needed three points. The only goal was scored by Raheem Sterling. The 66 minute penalty was Sterling’s 100th premier league goal.

The league leaders needed the point after their midweek UEFA disappointment after they lost to RB Leipzig.

First half was full of action and drama as Raul Jimenez was sent off at stoppage time after being booked twice, this exposed the visitors.

In second half Manchester City were determined to get a point from a more organized Wolves which led to a penalty after Joao Moutinho blocked Bernardo Silva’s cross with his arm, the penalty was converted by Raheem Sterling.

Manchester City top the league with 38 points while Wolves are at position eight with 21 points behind Arsenal who have 24 points after playing 16 matches.
