Nairobi County Assembly Deputy Minority Leader Mellab Lumalah is dead.Lumalah was the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Member of County Assembly.
Mellab died after a long illness on Monday morning. She was being treated in India, where she succumbed to cancer.
Confirming the news, Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Benson Mutura described Lumalah’s demise as a great loss to the assembly.
“It’s a sad moment and great loss for the Assembly and the County at large,” said Mutura.
“Mellab was part of the house leadership and carried out her duties effectively.”
