President Uhuru Is Chairing The Azimio Council Amid Tension And Mistrust

President Uhuru Kenyatta is at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) chairing the first Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition council meeting.

The meeting brings on board the council membership that was published in the Kenya gazette notice. President Uhuru is the chair of the council while Raila is the coalitions party leader.

Among those in attendance are Raila Odinga who is also the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya presidential candidate,KANU party Leader Gideon Moi,DAP-K party leader Wafula Wamunyinyi and Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua

Other Council members include Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Governor Ali Hassan Joho, NARC leader Charity Ngilu, Muranga Woman Representative Sabina Chege, Abdi Noor Omar Farah and Taveta MP Naomi Shaban.

Todays meeting is meant to clear tension in the coalition that might strain the coalition

Yesterday Makueni County Governor Kivutha Kibwana alleged that Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka wants to kick him out of the Azimio structures 

“It is proving impossible to work with Kalonzo Musyoka in Azimio in Ukambani. After he joined us, he has wanted especially me out of all Azimio structures. “ Kivutha stated.

“I have no choice but to be at peace with this sad reality. History will ultimately judge all of us. May IT be kind to Raila Odinga
