Kihika V/s Ngunjiri

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party was becoming a household name and the fight to control the party in Nakuru county escalated as Kihika  and Bahati Member of parliament Kimani Ngunjiri was reading from different scripts

Their differences played out again during the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Bill, Where Ngunjiri was supporting the bill as it meant more resources to the county while Kihika was against the bill

“I feel the process was later hijacked and politicized by the enemies of unity and development in this country. The judges made their ruling because they felt the independence of the Judiciary was threatened by BBI proposals like the creation of the position of a Judiciary Ombudsman.” Bahati legislator said

Kihika said,”BBI is dead and dusted. My No vote for BBI is vindicated tonight. There is God in heaven, I salute the Judiciary of Kenya.”
