Kanyari Announces Job Vacancy as He Launches Massive Plan to Dress 400 Needy Pupils Ahead of 2027 Political Bid

NAIROBI – Prophet Victor Kanyari has announced a job opportunity for young Kenyans as his Salvation Healing Ministry embarks on an ambitious programme to make and distribute free school uniforms to more than 400 needy pupils in Kasarani Constituency.

The city televangelist made the announcement during a Wednesday church service, revealing that his church is seeking a qualified tailor capable of operating an electric sewing machine to support the ministry’s expanding community outreach programme.

The successful applicant will be tasked with producing school uniforms that will be distributed to children from vulnerable families in Athi, Kasarani, in what Kanyari describes as a mission to restore dignity to learners who struggle to afford basic school necessities.

“We are looking for a young man or lady who can operate an electric sewing machine as we continue making more school uniforms,” Kanyari announced.

The preacher explained that the project will benefit more than 400 pupils, many of whom come from families facing economic hardships.

“We are going to provide more than four hundred school-going pupils in Athi, Kasarani Constituency, with full school uniforms to support less privileged students in our constituency.”

Kanyari said education should never become a privilege reserved for children from financially stable families.

“This is a way of restoring dignity to our pupils. There should be no shame in education. Every child deserves to feel equal when they go to school.”

A Job Opportunity With a Bigger Purpose

Unlike a conventional tailoring job, the position offers an opportunity to participate in a community transformation programme that seeks to improve the lives of hundreds of children.

The ministry believes that employing skilled youth while producing uniforms locally creates a double impact by creating employment and reducing the financial burden on struggling parents.

Although Kanyari did not disclose the number of tailors to be recruited or the application deadline during the church service, he encouraged qualified youths with tailoring experience to express their interest through Salvation Healing Ministry.

Interested applicants are expected to demonstrate proficiency in operating an electric sewing machine and producing quality school uniforms.

Why School Uniforms Matter

For many low-income families, purchasing school uniforms remains one of the biggest obstacles to keeping children in school.

Parents often spend thousands of shillings on uniforms at the beginning of every academic year, forcing some to delay taking children to school or send them in worn-out clothing.

Kanyari says his foundation wants to bridge that gap by ensuring children from vulnerable backgrounds attend school with confidence and without discrimination.

According to education stakeholders, proper school uniforms contribute to learners’ self-esteem, reduce stigma among pupils and promote equality within learning institutions.

Kanyari’s Growing Charity Work

Over the years, Kanyari has increasingly shifted attention towards community empowerment programmes through Salvation Healing Ministry and his foundation.

Apart from preaching, he has been involved in initiatives aimed at supporting vulnerable members of society through food donation drives, educational assistance and emergency relief.

His church has on different occasions distributed food hampers to needy families, assisted widows and orphans, paid school fees for selected learners, donated learning materials and offered financial support to families facing medical emergencies.

The ministry has also organised outreach programmes targeting elderly people, single mothers and unemployed youth, encouraging self-reliance through vocational skills and economic empowerment initiatives.

Church members say these programmes are funded through contributions from well-wishers and congregants who believe in supporting community development.

The latest tailoring project is expected to expand those efforts while creating employment opportunities for skilled young people.

From the Pulpit to Politics

Beyond his ministry, Kanyari has openly declared his intention to contest the Kasarani parliamentary seat in the 2027 General Election.

The preacher says his decision to join politics is driven by a desire to serve residents beyond the church and address challenges affecting ordinary Kenyans.

Among the issues he has consistently highlighted are youth unemployment, access to quality education, poverty reduction, better roads, clean water, improved healthcare and support for vulnerable families.

Kanyari has maintained that leadership should be measured by practical solutions rather than political rhetoric.

His growing charitable activities, including school support programmes, have increasingly become part of his public engagement as he prepares for the 2027 contest.

While his political ambitions have attracted both praise and criticism, his supporters argue that his community projects demonstrate his commitment to service, while critics insist voters should evaluate all candidates based on their policies and track records.

Youth Empowerment at the Centre

Youth empowerment has become one of the key themes of Kanyari’s ministry.

Besides creating employment opportunities, the preacher has repeatedly encouraged young people to acquire practical skills that can help them become financially independent.

He argues that vocational skills such as tailoring, carpentry, mechanics, hairdressing and digital entrepreneurship can help reduce unemployment among Kenyan youth.

The latest tailor vacancy aligns with that message by giving skilled young people an opportunity to earn a living while participating in a project that directly benefits vulnerable children.

Public Reaction

The announcement has generated conversations on social media, with many Kenyans praising the initiative to provide uniforms for needy pupils.

Others have welcomed the employment opportunity, noting that skilled tailors continue to face limited formal job opportunities despite increasing demand for vocational skills.

The project has also renewed public interest in Kanyari’s expanding role outside the pulpit as he balances religious leadership, charitable work and his political aspirations.

What Applicants Need to Know

Applicants interested in the tailoring opportunity should have experience operating an electric sewing machine and producing quality garments.

Although the ministry has not publicly announced the application deadline or recruitment process, interested candidates are encouraged to follow Salvation Healing Ministry’s official communication channels for further updates.

Looking Ahead

As preparations begin for the production of more than 400 school uniforms, hundreds of vulnerable learners in Athi, Kasarani Constituency, are expected to benefit from the initiative before the next school term.

Whether viewed as an act of compassion, a youth empowerment programme or a reflection of his growing political profile, Kanyari’s latest announcement has once again placed him at the centre of public attention.

With the 2027 General Election drawing closer, many will be watching to see whether his community-based initiatives strengthen his appeal among Kasarani voters while continuing to transform the lives of families in need.
