Khalwale has dropped his bid for the Kakamega Gubernatorial race

Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has dropped his bid for the Kakamega Gubernatorial seat.

The Former senator said that he has not stepped down but he has stepped up by supporting the current Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala to succeed Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

In his speech, Malala thanked Deputy President William Ruto, Musalia Mudavadi, and Moses Wetangula for leading the negotiations.

Khalwale and Malala recently clashed over who between them is fit to be elected the next Kakamega governor during the Kenya Kwanza rally led by Wetang’ula in Shinoyi market in Kakamega County.
