Kajiado County Governor Joseph Ole Lenku has defected from Jubilee party Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
Accompanied by several Maa Leaders, Lenku said that his decision to join ODM party was due to a political wave in the County.
“We have come in large numbers to show you what the ground is talking about back in Kajiado,” Lenku told Raila.
The Governor said that He will defend his seat on an ODM ticket “Today on my behalf of as the governor of Kajiado and the spokesman of the MAA nation we have officially moved to ODM where I am going to run for my gubernatorial seat in the coming election,”
Similarly, the governor expressed his confidence in the Azimio la Umoja muscle in the country, as well as its future prospects.
“Our taking this decision is to strengthen the Azimio la Umoja aspirations of bringing Kenyans together being championed by the President and Raila Odinga,” he said.
The Kajiado County boss was received by the ODM boss Raila Odinga who is also the Azimio La Umoja presidential Candidate.
