Will Smith Apologises to Chris Rock After the Oscar’s Slap

Willard Carroll Smith II famously known as Will Smith who won the Oscar for best actor at the 94th Academy Awards has apologized to Chris Rock after Slapping him at the Oscar.

In a statement, Will said that violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. He termed his behavior “unacceptable and inexcusable”

“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness. “ The Actor said in a statement

He also apologized to the Oscars film academy who had condemned him over the incident.

“I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world.”

“I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.”

While presenting the award for best documentary, Rock joked, “Jada I love you, ‘G.I. Jane 2,’ can’t wait to see it.”

Jada has been open about her struggle with alopecia, an autoimmune disorder that leads to hair loss.

Reports indicate that Chris Rock has refused to file a formal complaint with the police
