It was a record breaking night at the Etihad as City swept away Leeds in a 7-0 drubbing with Phil Foden’s goal in the 8th minute making City boss Pep Guardiola the fastest manager to reach 500 goals in the Premier League with goals from De Bruyne, Mahrez, Grealish, Ake and Stones completing the rout. Pep Guardiola has now eclipsed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp by reaching 500 goals in just 207 games.The City manager has now also beaten 28 out of 29 teams he has faced in the Premier League at least once.
Landmarks for City players
Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez both scored and assisted on their 80th and 100th appearances respectively. It was also a memorable night for City’s record signing Jack Grealish who headed in his first Premier League goal since August 21 from a Mahrez cross.
