Its about time to go ghostbusting. Yes you read it right , we busting ghosts on here throughout this read.
You wake up one morning and the first thing you do is text that person you have saved with some fancy pet name with emojis beside it. You unwittingly type with a smile on your face and send. Then begins the wait for a reply. He/she is online and so the reply should come in no time. Then begins the wait.
You wait and wait and wait but the person doesn’t reply. You think well, maybe they are busy but then you frown as another thought pops into your head. The thought that you mean so much to this person and vice versa and that you should be a priority. Nevertheless, you brush the thought aside and decide to wait.
Midday comes you check, still not answered.. You decide to call…calls not getting picked. You add another text below it, this time a longer one. Nighttime comes , still no reply so you send a paragraph full of rants. Well you who is reading the already know that this person has been ghosted.
So what does it mean to be ghosted?
Ghosting is simply ending all communication with someone you’ve been friends with or been in a relationship with.
Why ghost?
The answer is that this is the easiest route to end things. Whoever is ghosting doesn’t want to deal with the emotional repercussions of ending the relationship/friendship. Maybe they think it will hurt less or they simply don’t have the balls to take the bull by the horns. metimes, is something that’s been a long time coming but you were so ignorant you couldn’t see the red flags.
How do you deal with it?
Just accept and respect the dead. Don’t make a bozo of yourself by trying to bring afloat a sunken ship. Understand that they and not you are the problem because they have communication issues. You will obviously have many questions but some things are better left unsaid and don’t they say that what you don’t know can’t hurt you?
Its ghostbusting !
