Beyond economic ties, Kenya and Egypt reaffirmed their commitment to regional peace and security. President Ruto lauded President El-Sisi for Egypt’s pivotal role in stabilizing Somalia, Sudan, and the Middle East, and highlighted the robust Kenya-Egypt Defence Cooperation Agreement, which has seen over 70 Kenya Defence Forces officers trained in Egypt.

“We recognize that peace is the foundation of progress and must work together to advance stability, particularly in regions affected by conflict,” Ruto asserted.
