Drama in Rongai after the brother of controversial forex scammer Onyango Tate was spotted at a posho mill grinding maize.
The man who also works as Onyango Tate's personal photographer is known online for flaunting wads of cash and living a flashy lifestyle on TikTok and Instagram.
He and his brother are known for luring young Kenyans into fake forex deals with promises of quick money.
But on Friday October 9, luck was not on his side. He was spotted at a local posho mill in Rongai carrying a sack of maize for processing.
A group of young men who recognized him immediately started recording him. They mocked him asking where the money he always flaunts online has gone.
"Bro, si wewe ndio mnaonyesha pesa kwa TikTok? Mbona uko kwa posho mill?" one youth is heard asking in the video that is now trending.
The video has since gone viral with Kenyans laughing hard in the comments.
Many said this is proof that forex lifestyle online is fake. Others said even scammers still need ugali.
"Posho mill ndio inawafanyia fact-check," one Kenyan joked.
The video comes at a time when many forex scammers are being exposed online for using rented cars and fake money to trick Kenyans.
