Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has sent his condolences to the family of the late Paul Ng’eno, who died after being hospitalised for a period.

Gachagua expressed sympathy to Mama Mary Temas, the mother of Paul Ng’eno and the late former Emurua Dikirr MP Johanna Ng’eno, describing the loss of two sons within a short period as deeply painful.

“To Mama Mary Temas, mother to the late Emurua Dikirr MP, Hon. Johanna Ng’eno, pole sana on the loss of your son, Mr. Paul Ng’eno, who had been hospitalized for a while,” Gachagua said.

The former Deputy President acknowledged the immense pain facing the family following Paul Ng’eno’s death, saying words alone could not adequately console a mother mourning the loss of her son.

“No words of consolation are strong enough for you at this moment, but only God’s grace is sufficient,” Gachagua said.

“I pray for you, Mama Mary,” he added.

Gachagua reflects on loss of two sons

Gachagua said the death of Paul Ng’eno could leave his mother questioning why she had been forced to endure such painful losses involving her sons.

“I know that, for a moment, you may question God why this has happened to you and to your sons,” he said.

He acknowledged that many people could struggle to understand why such tragedy had befallen the family, urging the bereaved to find strength in their faith.

“Many of us will ask, but the will of God is absolute,” Gachagua said.

“We may not understand the pain in your heart at the moment,” he added.

Gachagua described the death of the two brothers within a short period as “truly painful”, while extending his deepest sympathies to Mama Mary and the entire family.

“But it is truly painful to lose your two sons within a short period,” he said.

“Please accept my deepest sympathies to you and your family,” Gachagua added.

Message to Emurua Dikirr residents

Gachagua also extended his condolences to residents of Emurua Dikirr following the death of Paul Ng’eno.

“To the people of Emurua Dikirr, poleni sana on the loss of Paul Ng’eno,” he said.

He prayed for the bereaved family and residents of the constituency to receive strength and peace as they mourn the latest loss.

“May the Almighty God give you peace and strength during this difficult moment,” Gachagua said.

The former Deputy President concluded his message with a prayer for Paul Ng’eno, asking that he be granted eternal rest.

“May the soul of Paul Ng’eno rest in eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him forever,” Gachagua said.

The death of Paul Ng’eno comes after the loss of his brother, Johanna Ng’eno, who served as the Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr.

The family is now mourning the loss of two sons within a relatively short period, with Gachagua joining other Kenyans in sending messages of sympathy to Mama Mary Temas and the bereaved family.
