Cheboi’s death has been described as a major loss to EPRA, his colleagues, friends and those who worked with him during his service in Kenya’s energy and petroleum regulatory sector.
In a statement announcing his death, EPRA said Cheboi would be remembered for his dedication to duty, professionalism and integrity.
“His passing is a profound loss to the Authority, his colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of working with him,” EPRA said.
The Authority said Cheboi made a notable contribution through his service and commitment to EPRA’s mandate.
“He will be remembered for his dedicated service, professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the mandate of EPRA,” the Authority said.
Silas Cheboi Burial Date and Location
EPRA said the late Silas Cheboi will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at his Solian home in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County.
The burial is expected to provide an opportunity for his family, friends, colleagues and other mourners to pay their final respects to the late EPRA official.
The announcement has prompted messages of condolence as colleagues and associates mourn an official who served in the Authority’s surveillance and enforcement function.
EPRA Mourns Silas Cheboi
Cheboi held the position of Assistant Director, Surveillance and Enforcement at EPRA, where he served within the Authority responsible for regulating Kenya’s energy and petroleum sector.
While announcing his death, EPRA highlighted the values it said defined his professional career, particularly dedication, professionalism and integrity.
“His passing is a profound loss to the Authority, his colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of working with him,” EPRA reiterated in its tribute.
The Authority extended its condolences to Cheboi’s family, friends, colleagues and all those mourning his death.
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all who mourn his loss,” EPRA said.
EPRA also wished the bereaved family strength and comfort as they come to terms with the loss.
“May they find strength and comfort during this difficult time,” the Authority added.
Silas Cheboi Remembered for Dedicated Service
Cheboi’s death marks a loss for his colleagues at EPRA and those who interacted with him in the course of his professional responsibilities.
His role in surveillance and enforcement placed him within an important area of EPRA’s regulatory mandate, as the Authority works to oversee compliance and standards in Kenya’s energy and petroleum sector.
EPRA said his contribution would remain part of his legacy at the institution.
The Authority concluded its tribute with a simple farewell to the late official.
“Rest in Peace Silas,” EPRA said.
Cheboi will be buried at his Solian home in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County, on August 15, 2026.
