Kanyari promises more empowerment for Kasarani residents

Economic empowerment is at the centre of Kanyari's campaign, with the Salvation Healing Ministry pastor promising to continue supporting residents with equipment and resources to help them generate income.

Kanyari said he had already distributed more than 100 motorbikes to young people and would expand the programme to include trolleys, hand carts and business capital.

“I will continue empowering the people of Kasarani by providing them with trolleys, hand carts and motorbikes. So far, I have given over 100 motorbikes to the youths. I will also ensure that I boost business by providing capital,” Kanyari said.

His proposal targets women and young people, including members of Generation Z, with the aim of helping them establish businesses and become economically independent.

Kanyari also highlighted his plan to support individual women with startup capital.

“I want to empower this lady with some capital so that she can start a boutique business. I want her to abandon the street life that she is living,” he said.

Youth talent centre part of Kanyari's agenda

Kanyari has also proposed a youth empowerment and talent centre as part of his six-point agenda.

The proposed centre would provide young people with a platform to nurture and showcase their talents and skills.

The initiative would target young people involved in sports, music, creative arts and other areas where talent can be turned into economic opportunities.

Kanyari promises bursaries and free school uniforms

Education is another major component of Kanyari's Kasarani agenda.

He said he would promote education by providing support to deserving students through both personal bursaries and NG-CDF education bursaries.

“I would like to promote education through providing personal and NG-CDF education bursaries equitably to all Kasarani deserving students,” Kanyari said.

The aspiring MP also promised to provide free school uniforms to school-going children, saying the initiative would promote equality among pupils.

“In order to promote education, I will make sure all school-going children are given free school uniform just like we have been doing in the past to ensure equality amongst our children,” he said.

The proposal is aimed at helping families that may struggle with the additional costs of keeping children in school.

Kanyari says he has bought four water lorries

Water supply is another key issue in Kanyari's campaign platform.

He said he had bought four lorries that he intends to use to supply water to residents across Kasarani.

“In terms of water, I have bought four lorries to supply water to all residents of Kasarani to ensure that our people can access clean drinking water,” Kanyari said.

If implemented, the proposal would seek to provide an additional source of water for residents facing challenges accessing reliable supplies.

Kanyari promises to fix Kasarani feeder roads within 100 days

Road infrastructure is also high on Kanyari's list of priorities.

He promised that feeder roads in residential estates and those falling under NG-CDF would be targeted for repairs during his first 100 days in office if he is elected.

“In terms of roads, we need to do something. If elected, all the feeder roads in the estates and those that fall under the NG-CDF should be fixed in my first 100 days,” Kanyari said.

The 100-day pledge is one of the most specific commitments in his campaign agenda and is likely to form a major part of his pitch to Kasarani voters.

Financial inclusion for boda boda riders

Kanyari has also identified boda boda riders as an important group in Kasarani's local economy.

His agenda proposes promoting financial inclusion for riders through SACCOs, giving them an organised platform for saving, accessing credit and investing in their businesses.

The proposal is intended to help riders strengthen their financial position while creating opportunities for them to expand their businesses.

Kanyari promises affordable healthcare

Healthcare completes Kanyari's six-point development agenda.

He has pledged to push for accessible and affordable healthcare services for Kasarani residents.

The healthcare proposal is part of his wider campaign message centred on improving access to essential services and supporting households across the constituency.

Kanyari positions himself in Kasarani 2027 race

The launch marks Kanyari's formal entry into the race for the Kasarani parliamentary seat ahead of the 2027 General Election.

His six-point agenda combines direct economic empowerment programmes with promises on education, roads, water, sanitation and healthcare.

The campaign will now put Kanyari's proposals under scrutiny as voters assess how the promises can be implemented and funded if he wins the seat.

For Kasarani residents, the 2027 parliamentary contest is likely to centre on issues including employment opportunities, education, infrastructure, water, healthcare and the management of constituency development resources.

Kanyari is positioning his campaign around those issues as he seeks to convince voters that his six-point agenda can deliver tangible improvements across Kasarani.
