Magata Bruce Mckenzie of Gilgil Hills Academy emerged top in the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results released by Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha.
Magata scored 428 in KCPE out of the possible 500 marks while Momanyi Ashley Kerubo from Makini School emerged in position two after scoring 427 marks.

Some 320 students in seven centres were found to have committed irregularities during the exam.
The Cabinet Secretary said that their fate will be known in the next two weeks
“In the next two weeks, you will see what will happen to them. I have talked to our colleagues from the Ministry of Interior to do the necessary,” he stated.
