Marjan Hussein confirmed as the IEBC Chief Executive

Marjan Hussein Marjan has been named as  Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)

According to the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati said that out of the five applicants, Marjan was the best candidate for the job,

Marjan Hussein Marjan has been in the acting capacity as the CEO since 2019. The seat fell vacant after the commission fired the then CEO Ezra Chiloba.

Marjan is the first non-lawyer to hold the office as he holds an MBA in Strategic Management and BCom (Accounting Option)  from the University of Nairobi

He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Quality Assessor (CQA) and is also a practicing Member of ICPAK in good standing.
