Media personality Kamene Goro has opened up about a harrowing health battle that saw her hospitalized with a life-threatening condition.
Kamene disclosed that she was diagnosed with both Sepsis and Peritonitis, revealing the severity of her situation.
“I had sepsis and peritonitis in my abdomen. They removed five litres of pus from my abdomen,” she said.
The media personality further detailed the extent of her medical ordeal, explaining that she was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and High Dependency Unit (HDU), and at one point required dialysis.
“I was in ICU, HDU, dialysis. One of my lungs collapsed. I got pneumonia afterwards. My kidneys were also shot because of fighting the infection. I think it is because of the pressure of what I have to do. It has not been easy,” Kamene stated.
Her condition was further complicated by Pneumonia and kidney complications, making her recovery process even more challenging.
Kamene, who had been noticeably absent from public and online spaces, said the illness took a significant toll on her both physically and emotionally.
Despite the ordeal, she expressed gratitude to those who stood by her during the difficult period.
“Thank you to everyone who encouraged me through it all,” she said.
Her revelation sheds light on the seriousness of her condition and explains her recent absence, as she continues on the road to recovery.
