Nyeri, Kenya – Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has called on the Mt Kenya region to lead by example in promoting national unity and rallying behind President William Ruto’s leadership for the sake of Kenya’s long-term stability and prosperity.
Speaking during a Sunday service at the African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) in Othaya, Nyeri County, Mudavadi emphasized that national development can only thrive when all regions are united by a common vision.

“Kenya’s future lies in our ability to rise above divisions and work together,” said Mudavadi. “Progress is not a product of isolated efforts but of collective responsibility and cohesion.”
He recalled a lesson from the late President Mwai Kibaki, who downplayed the influence of changing newspaper headlines and instead championed consistency in unity and development. “Focus is key. Let us not be distracted by daily noise—we must remain committed to building Kenya,” he added.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary encouraged Mt Kenya residents to maintain strong support for President Ruto, noting that the Head of State holds the region in high esteem.
“If Mt Kenya stumbles, other regions are ready to step in. Don’t take your position for granted. You have a President who trusts and believes in you—reciprocate that trust,” he urged.
Mudavadi also addressed the narrative that regional representation at the top level is a prerequisite for government support. “Western Kenya has never produced a president, yet it supports the government. That’s the kind of patriotism and unity we need across the country,” he remarked.
