National Police Disowns Drunk Female Kanjo In A Viral Video

The National Police Service has distanced itself from a viral video clip of a drunk female harassing patrons at a restaurant.

According to the National Police spokesperson Bruno Shioso, the claim made by her being a police inspector is viewed as impersonation.

“The impression created by the clip supposes that the said lady is a police officer misusing her law enforcement powers. This is to confirm to the public that the said lady as portrayed is not a police officer under the NPS as believed but an enforcement officer working for Nairobi Metropolitan Services. Any claim made by her being a police inspector is viewed as impersonation of a police officer” Shioso said.

In the viral video seen by The Daily Whistle, the lady who has been identified as a Nairobi City Inspectorate Officer ‘Kanjo’ attached to Green Park Bus Terminus, The intoxicated officer shouts  “Record me. I am an Inspector of Police attached to Nairobi County,”

She goes ahead to give out her personal employment number and continues to harass patrons, “Go and read Nairobi County by-laws. I am an enforcement officer. I am allowed to search her phone, search her bag. I am allowed even to arrest you,” she continued
