Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has challenged controversial content creator Andrew Kibe to a boxing match during the upcoming Vurugu 3 event, setting the stage for what could become one of Kenya’s most anticipated celebrity fights of the year.
Salasya made the bold call-out through his social media pages, suggesting that a showdown with Kibe would be even more explosive than previous editions of the celebrity boxing event.
“Itakuwa mbaya zaidi Andrew Kibe pale kwa Oga Obinna Vurugu 3,” Salasya posted.
The challenge immediately sparked excitement online, with Kenyans flooding social media with reactions and debating who would have the upper hand if the two outspoken personalities eventually squared off in the ring.
The proposed fight has also received backing from comedian and content creator Oga Obinna, the brains behind the successful Vurugu series. Obinna said he is willing to put his money into making the fight happen if both parties agree.
The Vurugu boxing series has quickly become one of Kenya’s biggest entertainment events, bringing together celebrities, influencers and public figures in high-profile bouts that have generated massive online engagement.
Should the fight materialise, it would pit two personalities known for speaking their minds and commanding huge followings on social media.
Salasya, the first-term lawmaker representing Mumias East Constituency, has built a reputation for his energetic political style and humorous online interactions.
