NAIROBI, May 22, 2025 — President William Ruto today hosted the Maendeleo ya Wanawake Organisation (MYWO) National Executive Council at State House, Nairobi, in a meeting focused on deepening collaboration to accelerate grassroots empowerment.
Led by Ms. Rahab Mwikali Muiu, the MYWO delegation engaged the President on key areas of partnership including Universal Health Coverage (UHC), access to clean water, and community-driven development initiatives.

“The government will continue working with the organisation and others to realise our transformation agenda, including the rolling out of the Universal Health Coverage, empowering communities through the provision of water and other initiatives,” said President Ruto.
President Ruto emphasized that the inclusion of women’s voices in development strategies is central to the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
