Kiambu County Senator Kimani Wamatangi has been kicked out as the Senate Majority Chief Whip by Jubilee Party.
This comes days after the legislator ditched the ruling party to join Deputy President’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party.
The Legislator joined UDA last weekend at Thika Stadium which has been viewed as his resignation from the Jubilee Party.
“That Hon. Senator Paul Kimani Wamatangi be deemed to have resigned from the membership of Jubilee Party in accordance with Article 5 of the Party Constitution. he had enjoyed by the virtue of being in the Jubilee Party,” the statement reads in part.
The letter also extended an olive hand to the senator to make submissions if he does not agree with Jubilees decision.
The Kiambu Gubernatorial aspirant said he ditched the ruling Party after listening to his people and he was in a better position to be elected as Kiambu governor on a UDA ticket as compared to Jubilee which is unpopular
Wamatangi is not the first politician allied to the Deputy President to face the Jubilee party wrath
Muranga County Senator also faced the same wrath when he wrote a letter to the president saying BBI was unpopular in Mt Kenya,
