Barcelona and Spotify are close to reaching an agreement that would see the streaming service become the club’s new main global partner. Should the deal be finalized this weekend, it will be announced on 7th February 2022. The Swedish company will replace Rakuten as the main shirt sponsor and the title sponsor of the training kits.
Spotify are also purchasing the stadium naming rights. The stadium name will change from Camp Nou to Camp Nou Spotify. The new main sponsor will pay to the club between €60 – 65 million annually with variables.
Talks are said to have began after Spotify failed in their bid to become a principal stakeholder in Arsenal. Barcelona are also said to be looking for a new sponsor for their left sleeve and training equipment with Beko’s contract expiring on 30th June.
