The ministry of Health announced that 799 people have tested positive for covid 19 from a sample size of 7,529 tested in the last 24 hours.
The positivity rate stands at 10.6 percent.
From the positive cases 687 are Kenyans while 112 are foreigners.
“Today 205 patients have recovered from the disease,179 from home based isolation and care program while 26 are from different health facilities countrywide. Total recoveries now stand at 249,009 of whom 200,962 are from home based care and isolation program while 48,047 are from various health facilities countrywide” Mutahi said in a statement.

Vaccination
As of today, a total of 8,368,112 vaccines have been administered across the country. Of these 5,022,592 have been partially vaccinated while those vaccinated are 3,345,520.
Nairobi County still leads cumulatively of people who are fully vaccinated at 30.7 percent while Wajir County is among the counties with least fully vaccinated people at 2.9 percent and Mandera at 2.5 percent.
