Nairobi, Kenya, 15 July 2026: Majid Al Futtaim, which owns the exclusive rights to operate Carrefour in Kenya, has opened its 36th Carrefour store in the country, marking its 6th store outside Nairobi with a new location in Kilifi.

Moving into regions like Kilifi is largely led by a drive for inclusivity and bridging the gap between communities and quality products, affordable prices, and a modern shopping experience. By bringing the stores closer to communities, Carrefour Kenya aims to build a more inclusive, nationwide economy.

The new store, covering approximately 1,500 square metres of retail space, offers a wide selection of groceries, home appliances, electronics, and fresh food, enhancing convenience and accessibility and bringing high-quality and affordable products to more customers in the coastal region.
