George Ruto among fans in Budapest as Arsenal lose Champions League final to PSG

President William Ruto’s son, George Ruto, was among thousands of football fans who travelled to Budapest, Hungary, for the UEFA Champions League final between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), a match that ended in heartbreak for the English side.

Arsenal were beaten by PSG in a tense final decided by penalties after a tightly contested match at the Puskás Aréna, where both teams pushed through a high-intensity encounter that remained deadlocked in regular and extra time.

The loss denied Arsenal a long-awaited Champions League crown, despite a strong campaign that had raised expectations among supporters travelling from different parts of the world to witness what many hoped would be a historic night for the London club.

George Ruto, who was visibly supporting Arsenal during the match, shared moments from inside the stadium on social media, capturing the atmosphere before kickoff and the growing tension as the game progressed.

After the final whistle confirmed PSG as European champions, he expressed his disappointment while also congratulating the winners.

“Behind enemy lines, tough luck, we shall be back. Congrats to PSG,” he wrote.

PSG’s victory sparked celebrations among their fans across the stadium, while Arsenal supporters were left to reflect on another missed opportunity on Europe’s biggest stage.
