Techpreneur and former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Harman Singh Grewal has found an unconventional way to champion education—by stepping into the boxing ring.
Grewal, who vied for Nairobi’s top seat in the last elections but lost to Governor Johnson Sakaja, has announced his participation in a charity boxing tournament aimed at raising awareness and funds to support struggling schoolchildren.
The event will finance Kalasik’s education programs, which focus on expanding access to quality learning through innovative solutions.

“This fight is bigger than boxing. It is about ensuring every child in Kenya gets the education they deserve,” Grewal said at the tournament’s launch, emphasizing the urgent need for investment in education.
His bold move has already sparked nationwide interest, with community leaders, education advocates, and the public rallying behind the cause.
By taking the fight for education literally into the ring, Grewal is proving that true leadership is about action, resilience, and standing up for the next generation
