Linda Mwananchi Movement has today, Sunday September 13, stormed Nairobi in a mega tour. According to The Standard Newspaper, the tour started with a church service at All Saints Cathedral at 9am. The service was led by Canon Evans Omollo.

The Standard shared exclusive photos today showing Edwin Sifuna, Babu Owino, James Orengo and George Natembeya at Marikiti Market. The photos confirm the leaders were at Marikiti and Gikomba Markets this morning. The Standard reported a small scuffle outside the cathedral as police tried to block supporters.

People Daily Newspaper yesterday revealed the full itinerary of today's tour. People Daily reported that the convoy will pass through Marikiti, Gikomba, Burma Market, Stage 17, B Centre and Manyanja. People Daily also confirmed the final rally will be at Jacaranda Grounds at 2pm.

Citizen Digital today confirmed the Nairobi tour is happening. Citizen Digital reported that Sifuna announced the tour on September 2 with the message back to base. Citizen Digital said the tour will use Jogoo Road heading to Embakasi East.

The Star Newspaper also confirmed the rally is set for today. The Star reported that the movement has been touring counties since February 2026. The Star said it started in Busia and has been to 16 counties including Mombasa and Nakuru.

At Burma Market, traders stopped work to welcome the leaders. Sifuna and Babu Owino waved to the crowd. The energy was high.

In Eastlands, the story was the same. According to eyewitnesses quoted by The Standard, boda boda riders joined the convoy at Stage 17. Residents at B Centre and Manyanja lined Jogoo Road to see the leaders.

At Jacaranda Grounds, supporters arrived early. The Standard's photos from Jacaranda today at 11am show hundreds seated on the grass. Some carried empty sufurias to protest high cost of living.

People Daily reports this is a big political test for Sifuna. Nairobi is his home as Senator. Babu Owino also wants to show strength as he eyes Nairobi Governor seat in 2027.

Citizen Digital notes the movement also includes Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka. The leaders say they are fighting for mwananchi because cost of living is high. They cite a TIFA poll showing many Kenyans feel Kenya is on wrong track.

The tour comes just weeks after Meru tour on August 30. The Star reported that former Governor Kawira Mwangaza hosted Sifuna in Meru. People Daily reported teargas in Makutano during that tour.

All eyes are now on Jacaranda Grounds. The question is whether Sifuna will fill the historic ground that Raila Odinga used to fill. We will bring you more updates.
