Ruto: UDA Primaries Were Successful, Exercise To be Repeated in Some Constituencies

United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party presidential candidate William Ruto has said that its party primaries were a success

The Deputy President said that the exercise was successful save for a few logistical challenges that arose due to fuel shortage in the country

During his media briefing at the Hustler Centre, Ruto said that UDA has demonstrated that it is a national party.

“ I want to thank and congratulate the millions of hustlers including aspirants who came out in large numbers to participate in this nomination exercise,” Ruto said

 “You brought solutions even where there were challenges. We are encouraged by your resilience. To the hustlers congratulations for choosing the leaders of your choice.”

Ruto thanked the UDA’s NEB for a job well done, he also commended the police and UDA members for the good job they did.

Despite Ruto terming the exercise a huge success some parts of the country witnessed the violence,in Starehe constituency the UDA National Elections Board (NEB) Chairman Anthony Mwaura said that they will repeat the nomination exercises in Starehe and Kamukunji constituencies after chaos disrupted the exercise Yesterday
