Prosecution Seeks to drop Linturi’s case

Troubled Meru County Senator Mithika Linturi was acquitted by a Nakuru Court after his ‘madoadoa’ remarks, police failed to complete their investigations in time.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party allied senator was accused of hate speech by the prosecution after the madoadoa remarks that he made in Eldoret.

The prosecution requested the court to drop the case due to a lack of evidence about the remarks. Mithika Linturi’s counsel, Elias Mutuma welcomed the prosecution’s decision to drop the charges.
