The Jubilee Party has announced that it is extending the application deadline for members seeking to be elected on its ticket
The party said that More Kenyans had shown interest to be nominated on the Jubilee ticket.
Jubilee opened its doors before Saturday when all Parties in Kenya are expected to submit names of aspirants to the Political registrar’s office
The Jubilee Party’s National Elections Board resolved to add three more days for other hopefuls to tender their application documents.
“Due to the overwhelming demand from Jubilee Party aspirants from all corners of the country, the National Elections Board has extended the application deadline to the 25th March 2022,” said the board.
Saturday is the day all registered parties are supposed to present their membership lists to the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties.
The political parties are supposed to forward the list to the Registrar that will in turn forward the same to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Once the list has been submitted to the office, aspirants will be barred from moving from one party to the other.
