The National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi has clarified why he did not attend the Amani National Congress (ANC) National Delegates Conference.
Muturi said that he was invited but was not informed that the Deputy President who is also the UDA party leader will attend the event.
“Yes, I was invited to the ANCNDC but I did not attend as we were surprised that WSR would attend and MM did not have the courtesy to inform us, making us very suspicious of what they would declare & correctly we have seen the formation of another coalition with WSR, which we have never discussed at any time.” Muturi wrote on his social media handles,
The speaker was endorsed by the Democratic Party (DP) as its presidential candidate.
Earlier reports had indicated that Muturi was going to team up with the One Kenya Alliance.
After the ‘Earthquake’ by ANC, OKA issued a statement dissociating themselves from ANC and Ford Kenya.
