The Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) has issued direct nominations certificates to unopposed candidates.
The Party also said that it will also issue certificates to candidates who have agreed through consensus.
“Good morning from Chui House. Today we start issuance of nomination certificates to unopposed candidates and those that have agreed through concensus.” The party said
Among those issued with direct tickets include former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya who is seeking to succeed Governor Patrick Khaemba in Trans Nzoia County
Bungoma County Governor Wycliffe Wangamati was also issued with the certificate to defend his seat on DAP-K
Kisii County senator Sam Ongeri was also issued with the certificate, the senator ditched ODM for DAP-K after he fell out with the party
The Cabinet Secretary for Defense Eugene Wamalwa was also present during the function that was held at Chui House
Parties have until this month to conduct their Nominations
ODM, Jubilee, and UDA parties are also conducting their nominations across the country
