It’s a calm Monday morning. I am walking on this foot bridge. Today it’s less crowded. Why not take this opportunity and promote this sales man?
I have been saying I will buy a new handbag but I guess you know what procrastination does to us? Ow, particularly me. I don’t know about you.
Those two voices fight each other as usual. The yes one wins so I carefully search for my ‘type’ of handbag amongst the pile. I can’t see it. Fortunately, I think today is a blessed day as I bend to pick this unique, good sized, black, leather handbag. I look at it admiringly and lovingly.

“Madam, that is mine. I am even paying for it.” I bet you have been heartbroken like this before. Picking some clothe or something only for someone to be paying for them. I just hand it over sadly. If tears were nearby, I bet two would have dropped.
I continue searching and I don’t seem to be lucky. I pick this big, black, woven one but my heart isn’t happy. “Pick that. So beautiful,” one of the women buyers comment. “Actually that material can isn’t easily found in this country,” the seller adds. But these sellers joke a lot. If you see the kind of bag they were praising you can laugh your intestines out.

To cut the long story short, ladies and gentlemen, I bought that ‘basket’ in the name of a bag. Let me call it so because currently that’s what I see when I look at it. I did not like it at all but the convincing and ‘advice’ these two gave me pushed me to waste my money on that thing.
Today, I look at that thing and I can’t stop mourning my money. That is how people throw all kind of ‘advice’ and opinions and we find ourselves hanging on an rope we put on our necks. That is why personal knowledge is power. That is why you shouldn’t be picking opinions from just anyone or anywhere and applying them to your life. Your life is not a trial. Once messed up it’s messed. There are no chances for trial and error so you better get it right or right.

Applying endless opinions is like gambling with your life. I think you better do proper research and make conclusions and decisions based on facts rather that endless opinions. Remember the world never stops talking so it is up to you to decide whether to absorb all or filter what you hear.
Right now I have that basket of a bag. Someone else may find it pleasing but not me. Because we are different. And that is why you shouldn’t be taking just any advise. Because you are different. I don’t know what to do with this basket. Maybe I will be using it to the market. Maybe I will give it out. Or maybe live with it, as a reminder to never take just any advice.
