Before the Thursday nomination dust settles ,Deputy President William Ruto’s party is facing Mass exodus. Some aspirants who lost the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party nominations that were held on 14th April across 36 Counties, have threatened to tear apart the party despite Ruto assuring all nomination losers that they will be accommodated in his government
Several politicians who were floored said that the election was marred will electoral malpractices that denied them the ticket and hence they will decamp the party
Nominated MP Wilson Sossion has announced that he will declare his political move after he was defeated by a Nairobi-based lawyer Hillary Sigei in the Bomet Senatorial race
Unconfirmed reports indicate that the former KNUT Secretary-general will team up with the incumbent Senator Christopher Langat on an independent ticket.
“Senator Dr Andrew Christopher Lang’at and I will produce one candidate to run on Independent on 9th August. The agreement is agreed upon and sealed. This is to protect the sovereignty of Bomet and its resources. Support our nominee on the 9th of August this year. Be positive and kindly wait for our next move,” Sossion said in a statement to Bomet residents.

Laikipia Woman Representative Catherine Waruguru in a cryptic easter message she said “Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life.”
“I want to thank my supporters for their continued support as I assure them that all is well.I will issue a comprehensive statement on my next course of action after the Easter holiday.” She wrote on her Facebook Page
Insiders have indicated that she is ditching UDA to vie as an independent candidate
Thika Town Member of Parliament Patrick Wainaina, famously known as WaJungle, rejected the UDA’s party primaries, he said that exercise was not fair where Kiambu County Senator Kimani Wamatangi won the UDA ticket.
Wajungle said that he will be contesting for the Kiambu County Governor’s seat as an independent candidate
“I want to assure my supporters and the people of Kiambu in general that my name will be on the ballot,” Wainaina said.

Mohammed Amir who was eyeing Mombasa Senate seat said that he has quit the UDA party and will vie as an independent candidate
Naivasha MP Jane Kihara, through her proxies, has said that she will be on the ballot in August as an independent candidate
UDA party politicians who lost the party primaries have accused the party of denying them a chance through high fees being charged to those filing petitions.
Some members said that the exercise was just a PR stunt and they do not have faith in the process.

Detective Jane Mugoh also accused Governor Anne Waiguru for rigging her out
“When I heard madam Waiguru and aspiring senator Murango were planning to rig nomination and have Wangeci or Njeri as women Rep i politely asked her during last UDA aspirant meeting in karen. I reported this to Ruto, Ndindi and Gachagua . They promised fair nominations.” Mugo lamented
“Am from UDA headquarter and they are asking for 100k to register a claim. Instead of wasting money i better treat my children, pay genuine agents who were not bought, and shared evidence of Rigging and the many orphans I support.. I was on an exopling journey.” Jane Mugoh wrote
